How to log in to the Intranet
The Intranet provides access to many of the resources used across campus. Logging in requires different steps from other campus systems, such as your nesl.edu email and Canvas.
- Navigate to intranet.nesl.edu in your web browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.)
- If you aren't already logged in, you should be taken to a screen that says "Welcome to the New England Law Intranet!" with buttons pointing to this guide and to the login screen.

Note: In some circumstances, you may immediately see a pop-up notification asking for a username and password instead of the welcome screen. Enter your nesl.edu credentials and click OK to be taken directly into the Intranet. If you aren't able to proceed past this pop-up, see the troubleshooting steps at the end of this guide.
- Click the "Log In Now" button to proceed.
- On the next screen, you'll be asked for a username and password. Skip those fields for now and click the box next to "Windows Authentication" instead.

Note: While this box references Windows, it is still the correct way to login when using other operating systems, such as Mac OS.
- You should see a pop-up window prompting you to Sign in to https://intranet.nesl.edu and asking for a username and password. If not, check if the User Name and Password fields of the NEL Intranet User Login screen from Step 4 have been filled in automatically. If they have, skip to Step 8.
- In the pop-up window, type your nesl.edu email address and password.
- Click Sign in.
- Confirm that the User Name and Password fields in the NEL Intranet User Login screen have been filled in with your credentials. Click Submit at the top right.
- You will be taken to the Intranet homepage. If not, please see the troubleshooting tips below.
Troubleshooting Intranet login issues
- If you see an error indicating your credentials aren't correct, try the login steps again and ensure that you've entered your full email address including the @nesl.edu part. In Step 8, the @nesl.edu may be removed automatically by the system. This is ok.
- Try opening a private browsing window (called incognito in Chrome) and repeat the login steps there. If it works in private browsing, but not in your regular browser, you may need to clear your cache or remove cookies for the intranet to reset any background data that's interfering. See your browser's instructions for how to do this or submit a ticket for assistance.
- If you are still experiencing difficulties logging in, please submit a ticket using the options at the top of this page.
