Students: How to enter the attendance code for your class
Please note: Attendance codes can be entered starting from 10 minutes before class until the end of the class session. Before and after this entry window, you will not see an option to enter a code for that class.
If you need to report an error with your attendance, please review the instructions and submit the Attendance Error Form on the Intranet.
Code entry for the Attendance tool can be done either through the Canvas mobile app or in a web browser on your computer.

- Open your Canvas course in your web browser of choice or the Canvas student mobile app.
- In the course navigation menu, click Attendance.
- If this is the first time you've opened the Attendance tool, you may be prompted to authorize your account so that Canvas and aPlus+ Attendance / Attend HE can talk to each other. Click Authorize to continue.
- If your browser's security settings are strict, you may see a screen that says "One more step". Click the button that says "Click here to continue" to launch the Attendance tool in a new window. All other screens should look and function the same as the Canvas instructions below.
- If your class has an active attendance session, you'll see a question mark icon to the left of the time and the time will be a clickable link. Click the session link to continue.
- You will see a box prompting you to enter the session code. This will be provided by your professor during class. Enter the code and click Submit.
- Wait until you see a message that your Attendance was recorded before leaving the page.
- When you click Continue or return to the Attendance page from the course navigation, you should see a checkmark next to the time and the session will no longer be clickable.
