Settings and notification preferences

Depending on whether you're using the mobile app or your web browser to access Communities (Viva Engage), the location of the settings and preferences options may be different.

In your web browser:

Click the Settings gear icon in the top right.
In the Settings page that opens, the left navigation will allow you to choose between General Settings or Notifications. Use the Home link to return to the main feed of Communities.
The General Settings page includes:
- A toggle to turn on or off Dark mode
- Choice of skin tone for reactions in Communities
- Language setting for Communities (Engage) system text and notifications
- Choice of Theme for the header across Microsoft 365 apps
The Notifications page includes toggle switches for what types of notifications to get by email, including daily and weekly digest options and a button to adjust settings for specific Communities.

Note: Some settings, such as Language, may be automatically set based on your mobile device's language and won't need to be adjusted separately.
