Faculty: Check view data for your videos
Once you've shared a video with your students, you may want to see which of your students watched the video and how much of the video they've watched. Canvas Studio provides analytics such as graphs, view percentages, and charts of what timestamps in a video were watched.
- Locate the video that you shared.

If you shared with an individual student, click Studio in the leftmost global navigation menu.

If you shared with your whole class, click the Studio link in the navigation menu in your Canvas course.
- Click the title of the video you want to check view statistics for.
- Choose which course to show statistics for by clicking the dropdown menu under "Select Embed".

Note: If you shared with individual students instead of your whole class, this menu may not be visible.
- Click the "Insights" tab under the video.
- You should see an overview of how many times the video was viewed and for how long. Scroll down to see additional data, including the list of which students have watched and their completion percentage.
