Microsoft Forms: Overview

Microsoft Forms is one of the Microsoft 365 applications available with your nesl.edu account. You can use Forms to create surveys or polls to gather information from others.

Note: While Forms does include the option to create a quiz, we recommend using Canvas for classwork such as quizzes and exams during the semester and following the recommendations of the Exam Support team for final exams.

Accessing Microsoft Forms

Forms is one of the applications available in the Microsoft 365 app launcher. For more information, you can read our switching between Microsoft 365 applications guide.
From OneDrive, you can jump right into editing a new form by clicking the "+ Add new" button and selecting "Forms survey" from the menu that appears.
- Note: Even if you create a Form through OneDrive, the Form will not be listed as a file in OneDrive and cannot be organized into folders, opened in a desktop application, or opened through the OneDrive Canvas integration.
In your web browser, you can also navigate directly to forms.office.com to access the main Forms home page.
