Microsoft Forms: Overview
Microsoft Forms is one of the Microsoft 365 applications available with your nesl.edu account. You can use Forms to create surveys or polls to gather information from others.
Note: While Forms does include the option to create a quiz, we recommend using Canvas for classwork such as quizzes and exams during the semester and following the recommendations of the Exam Support team for final exams.
Accessing Microsoft Forms
- Forms is one of the applications available in the Microsoft 365 app launcher. For more information, you can read our switching between Microsoft 365 applications guide.
- From OneDrive, you can jump right into editing a new form by clicking the "+ Add new" button and selecting "Forms survey" from the menu that appears.

-
Note: Even if you create a Form through OneDrive, the Form will not be listed as a file in OneDrive and cannot be organized into folders, opened in a desktop application, or opened through the OneDrive Canvas integration.
- In your web browser, you can also navigate directly to forms.office.com to access the main Forms home page.
