Using the classroom computer
Important:
- If you experience any difficulty with the classroom computer, please submit a ticket or call ext. 7404 from the classroom for assistance.
- If the classroom computer is already logged in when you arrive, please follow the log off instructions below and log in with your own account instead.
Signing on to the classroom computer
- On the Windows sign in screen, choose "Other user".

- Please check the bottom left of the screen for this option if you don't see it at first.
- Enter your NELB username and password when prompted.

- We strongly recommend logging in using your own credentials for security.
- If you need to use the Lectern account username and password, please do not sign in to the Office applications (such as PowerPoint, Word, etc.) that are installed on the classroom computer.
- If this is the first time you've logged into the classroom computer, the system may take longer to log you in. Subsequent logins should finish faster.
- Once you reach the windows desktop, you can proceed as normal with your classroom setup. Some suggestions for next steps include:
Signing off of the classroom computer
At the end of your class, please close any open web browser windows and sign out of your account in order to protect your data.
- On the desktop of the classroom computer, double-click the shortcut that says "Logoff". This will have an orange icon showing a white key.
- If you don't see the Logoff icon, you can also sign out of your account through the Windows start menu.

- Click the Windows icon from the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
- Click your name at the bottom of the start menu.
- Click Sign out in the new screen that opens to finish signing off of the computer.
